About de Havilland - de Havilland DH.84 Dragon
ZK-AXI has a storied past, serving in various civil roles, including as an air ambulance, after its military service. Following several incidents and periods of storage, it underwent a meticulous restoration by Stan Smith, returning to flight in 1997. This aircraft is now one of only four flyable DH.84 Dragons left in the world, making it a rare and cherished example of aviation history. It provides a unique glimpse into the golden age of flight, known for its gentle handling and the distinctive sound of its Gipsy Major engines. A wonderful opportunity to purchase a 1/3 share in a rugged, capable, and extremely fun-to-fly Zlin Savage Cub. Known for its outstanding STOL performance, simple operation, and low running costs, SCA is an ideal aircraft for recreational flying, farm strip operations, and back-country adventures. Based in Hastings, this aircraft is flown regularly and maintained to a high standard. Built in 2007 (Serial 0115), this Savage Cub features the well-proven Rotax 912ULS (100 HP) engine with only 407 hours on both airframe and engine (increasing through normal use). The Cub retains its original factory configuration with the thoughtful addition of vortex generators and ADSB-Out. With stalls below 30 mph and takeoff rolls around 30 metres a perfect airplane.
