A 1963 Beechcraft Musketeer 23 that has been flown, maintained and documented without a gap for sixty-three years. Airworthy and in regular use: about 100 h in 2025 and 77 h in the first nine months of 2026. The 100 h / annual inspection was carried out on 30 September 2026 and the ARC runs to 4 February 2027. It is also honest about what it is. The engine is close to TBO, roughly 88 h remaining, and the asking price reflects that. The value here is the airframe, the paperwork and the current airworthiness status - not a fresh engine. The strong point is the documentation: complete and continuous logbooks since new, airframe, engine and propeller, with the full airworthiness file. On a 1963 aeroplane that is the exception rather than the rule. The buyer this suits is someone with an engine or an overhaul in mind, or a group willing to do one, who wants a complete and documented airframe to put it on. AIRFRAME TTAF 4,111 h, 4,641 landings. Weighed 23 February 2022. ENGINE Lycoming O-320-D2B, 160 hp, serial L-11140-39A. TTE 3,673 h, SMOH 1,911 h, TBO 2,000 h - approximately 88 h remaining. Five consecutive oil analyses, all clean. The most recent (September 2026) returned the lowest iron rate of the series. Reports available. PROPELLER Sensenich 74DM6-0-60, fixed pitch, new in 1992, 2,087 h since new. INTERIOR Tan, complete and original in appearance, showing its age but without tears. Carpet clean, headliner free of stains and sag, the Musketeer skylight clear. Rosen sun visors fitted. Step tread worn but complete. Baggage compartment clean and dry. Four seats, pilot plus three. The airframe interior was photographed throughout in October 2026 - the original 1963 Alclad mill stampings are still legible in the tailcone and the primer is intact. Nothing has been opened up beyond that; the interior photographs are in the gallery, so you can judge for yourself. EXTERIOR White with blue and red stripes. Paint still glossy, no cracking, chalking or blistering, and does not need redoing. Upper fuselage and wing upper surfaces were refinished in 2002 after hail damage. The aircraft has been parked outside rather than hangared in recent years - said here rather than left to be discovered at a pre-buy. With full fuel (52 USG usable) the useful payload is about 220 kg, so realistically a two- to three-person aeroplane rather than a four-seater. The fuel quantity indication has a known quirk. It is not a no-go item and can be demonstrated, but it is described in writing before signing rather than left to a pre-buy. Located at Basel (LFSB).
